Cinco de Mayo on Dos de Mayo

Our wonderful friends Keith and Julia had a Cinco de Mayo party on May 2nd. We all had just a little too much fun! Chile Verde, 7 layer dip, mojitos, tequila, tres leches, what more could you want?? Notice the masks....... This was during the swine flu outbreak and so we had masks since it originated in Mexico! Ha!

Spring is here!

Salt Lake Marathon 09

The Salt Lake marathon was last weekend. Sara and TJ did the half marathon, I did the 5K and Colin and Grandma Leslie did the kids 1K. It was fun and a good start for me to get more active. Raelene from my work walked every step of the way with me. Thanks Raelene! Money raised goes to the Huntsman Cancer Center where Steve had surgery last year so it was all for a good cause. Maybe next year Steve and Emalee will do it with us!

Easter Weekend 09

Emalee and I started the weekend off with going to the Steve and Sue Hirase's Annual Egg Hunt and Scones. Every year Steve dresses up in a bunny outfit and cooks scones for the neighborhood after the kid's egg hunt. Then on Sunday we had brunch at the house with Sara, TJ, Colin, Michael, Nicole, Grandma Leslie, Steve and I with an egg hunt for Colin afterward.

Makin S'mores

Sara was able to have Cardyn one day and so they came over and we roasted S'mores. It was so nice to be able to see her and the kids had a ball playing on the swingset and roasting the marshmellows. We really miss her!

Beyond Glaze & Rainbow Cake

Annie always brings the best treats on her turns for Charlet's weekly treats! Here a couple of stand outs. Donuts from the new Beyond Glaze store and her Rainbow cake! All I can say is YUM!

Vegas Weekend #2 - March 27-29

2nd weekend in Vegas. Went with Michael, Nicole and her mom Lisa. We flew down to see Bette Midler. She was great! We ate great Mexican food at the Mandalay Bay, drank margaritas, shopped, walked and saw a great concert by Bette. That was just Friday! On Saturday morning we all had champagne brunch with Sara and TJ (who were there for a friend's wedding), did more shopping, the Shark aquarium, Italian dinne and Michael and Nicole surprised Lisa and I with tickets to see Cirque de Solei Mystere (?spelling) . The show was unbelieveable. We all walked out wanting to go to the gym. The next day we did another Champagne breakfast at the Mirage, a little more shopping and then back to Salt Lake!
